Ticketing Internship 

The Joplin Jailbirds will play their first season in Joplin, MO. As part of the MINK League, the Jailbirds will host 19 home games. We are looking for the new superstars in ticket sales for our Summer 2026 internship class.

Here's what you can expect to get from us:

• Experience in developing and executing ticket packages and programs

Here's what we expect from you:

• Desire to learn and grow

• Willingness to be challenged and step outside of your comfort zone

• Energetic and excited about bringing the best show to Joplin 

• Must be available for most home games 

Here's what you'll be doing / learning:

• Assist GM with box office management

• Sell single game tickets and provide customer service to all ticket holders

• Outreach to local businesses in building theme nights

• Prospect and list build for group sales and theme nights

• In conjunction with sponsorship sales, develop in-game promotional events

• Provide customer service at all times

• Other duties as assigned

This is an unpaid internship. Applicants should pursue college credit from their college or university.

Marketing/Promotions/Social Media

• Experience in developing and executing marketing plans and promotional nights

Here's what we expect from you:

• Desire to learn and grow

• Willingness to be challenged and step outside of your comfort zone

• Energetic and excited about bringing the best show to Joplin 

• Must be available for most home games 

Here's what you'll be doing / learning:

• Assist the AGM in development and execution of promotional nights

• Develop and execute social media and other marketing strategies 

• Create and edit engaging content for our social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. 

• Track and analyze performance metrics to inform content strategy.

• Outreach and appearances to local businesses in building theme nights

• Comfortable initiating conversations with fans at the field and people at community events

• In conjunction with sponsorship sales, deliver in-game promotional events and activities

• Participate as our mascot during games

• Provide customer service at all times

Our Summer interns begin in May.

Stadium Operations: 

The Joplin Jailbirds will play their first season in Joplin, MO. As part of the MINK League, the Jailbirds will host 19 home games. We are looking for the new superstars in Stadium Operations for our Summer 2026 internship class.

Here's what you can expect to get from us:

• High quality training and supervision from an energized and experienced full-time staff

• Career guidance and coaching from upper management

• Freedom to be creative and develop as a professional in the sports industry

• Experience in running a stadium

Here's what we expect from you:

• Desire to learn and grow

• Willingness to be challenged and step outside of your comfort zone

• Energetic and excited about bringing the best show to Joplin

• Must be available for most home games 

Here's what you'll be doing / learning:

• Working special events and Jailbirds games

• Assisting GM in keeping the ballpark in top shape

• Creating and maintaining a clean, safe and fun ballpark for all fans 

• Dugouts and Umpire Room: pregame setup, maintain throughout the game, clear out, and clean after the game.  

• Merch Stand: assist with setup, sales, inventory, stocking, packing online orders, and storage after closing.

• Assisting in inventory controls and purchasing supplies for stadium

• Pursuing and coordinating all aspects of ballpark rentals including, but not limited to college baseball games, high school baseball games, soccer practices

• Assisting the GM/AGM in preventative maintenance

• Provide customer service at all times

Our Summer internship begins May 2026.
