Wunder Hired Inaugural Assistant General Manager for Joplin Jailbirds

Jen Wunder brings nearly a decade of sports marketing experience and a fan-first vision to launch a new era of baseball in Joplin.

JOPLIN, Mo. -- Joplin Jailbirds, proud members of the MINK League, today announced the hiring of Jen Wunder as Assistant General Manager. Wunder brings a dynamic background in sports marketing, operations, and leadership in baseball, collegiate athletics, and other professional sports.

"We are so excited to have Jen join the Jailbird staff," Joplin Jailbirds General Manager Donovan Harns said. “Her knowledge of baseball and her willingness to connect with the community will be a huge asset for Jailbirds baseball for years to come.”

Wunder brings nearly a decade of experience in professional and collegiate sports, most recently serving as Director of Promotions and Digital Strategy for the O’Fallon Hoots, where she led social media, game presentation, sponsorship activations, and leadership during the 2025 summer season. Also in 2025, she earned her Master of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Media Arts from Lindenwood University, studying how creativity and fan experience shape sports entertainment. Wunder is excited to bring her energy, creativity, and love of baseball to Joplin and looks forward to building strong relationships in a market that is ready to rally behind its new team.
