Muddy Matchday Makeup: Jailbirds vs Griffons 6/25/26

The Jailbirds (12-7, 11-7 MINK) faced the Nevada Griffons (3-12, 3-13 MINK) and walked away with a 9-0 win..

This rain day rerun was the result of rainfall ruining the run the Jailbirds were on when the originally scheduled game between the Joplin Jailbirds and Nevada Griffons on the 21st was canceled. Since that game was in Nevada, the Griffons would act as the home team, although the Jailbird fans made sure to remind the teams where this game was being played.

The Jailbirds and Griffons had already played 3 times in which the Jbirds won by a combined 12 runs.

Austin Marsh and Eric Williams Jr. would score in the 1st off a throwing error.

In the 2nd Williams Jr. would hit a double to send Jayce Walker home before a Landin Midgett single sent him home.

In the 3rd 2 more runs would be tacked on for the Jailbirds to make it 6-0. Jace Midgett sent Gio Mastrarosa home then Jace Walker would send him across the plate.

In the 4th A Mastrarosa sac fly would score Landin Midgett and see the Jailbirds hold a 7-0 lead.

A Jordan Tucker RBI single would see Jose Gomez score. Landin Midgett would then ground out and send Jayce Walker home. The score sat 9-0 Joplin at the middle of 5th.

The game would be ended due to lightning at the end of the 6th with a 9-0 scoreline.

Cross Dowd received the win and moved to 2-0.

The MAPP Technologies Jailbird of the Game was Jayce Walker who went 2-2, had 3 runs scored, 1 RBI, and a perfect OBP.

The Jailbirds will play next versus the Griffons at home on the 30th of June at 6:30 at home.
