MINK League Returns to Joplin!

JOPLIN, Mo. --The MINK League is coming back to Joplin! Joplin Baseball, LLC, operators of the new Joplin Baseball Team announced that they will place a new summer collegiate baseball team in the MINK League to play in Joplin beginning in May 2026.

"This is an exciting time for the City of Joplin, it's residents and the surrounding areas," Joplin Baseball co-owner David Schmoll said. "We cannot wait to show this community what our version of family-friendly, affordable summer baseball entertainment is and bring a new show to town!"

The team will host a name the team contest to help choose the new name. All fans who suggest the winning name will be entered into a drawing to win 2 season tickets to the inaugural season of Joplin Baseball. Voting will be held on joplinbaseball.com.

The team is led by Joplin-native Donovan Harns, who has been selected as the team's first General Manager. Harns has been a staple in the Joplin sports community as a coach, umpire and site coordinator including time spent with the Joplin Sports Authority.

Also joining the team is Brian Flynn as the team's President. Flynn served as the President and Minority Owner of the Joplin Outlaws in 2025.

The team is owned by Joplin Baseball, LLC, spearheaded by David Schmoll. Schmoll has spent 15 years in sports, including six years as the General Manager of the O'Fallon Hoots in the Prospect League where he managed CarShield Field, increasing attendance each year and created new, exciting events and promotions to bring people together. Howl Bean, Ben Duncan and Aron Huckaba round out the ownership group.
