Mineral Area player signs to play local with the Jailbirds

Shadrach Salazar will be playing for the Joplin Jailbirds this summer

JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Joplin Jailbirds signed freshman, Shadrach Salazar, a Webb City, MO local to the roster for the summer.

Salazar posted a .300 batting average with a .364 on-base percentage and a .300 slugging percentage, showcasing his consistency at the plate and ability to contribute offensively. His strong approach and continued development make him an exciting young addition to the Jailbirds roster this summer.

“Shadrach is another great piece to our outfield, with his plus arm and hitting approach. He will be a fan favorite this season,” predicts Jailbirds’ GM, Donovan Harns.

The Joplin Jailbirds will debut in Kirksville on May 29th, and their season home opener in Joplin on Tuesday, June 2nd.
