Mason Williams to play for the Joplin Jailbirds

Incoming Freshman Catcher for Missouri Southern State University signs with the Joplin Jailbirds

JOPLIN, Mo. -- Joplin Baseball has signed incoming freshman catcher, Mason Williams, to the team. Williams will be joining the team from Webb City. 

Currently competing at Webb City High School, Williams captured a District Championship title with his team in the 2025 season. 

“Williams will be a great addition to our team as he prepares for his freshman season at Missouri Southern,” stated Jailbirds GM, Donovan Harns. 

The Joplin Jailbirds will debut in Kirksville on May 29th, and their season home opener in Joplin on Tuesday, June 2nd.
