Joplin Jailbirds sign Orlando native to the Roster

Right-Handed Pitcher,  Luis De Los Santos,  joins the Joplin team

JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Joplin Jailbirds sign junior, Luis De Los Santos, to the roster. De Los Santos is a right-handed pitcher competing at the University of Fort Lauderdale. 

Luis De Los Santos is competing in his first season for the Fort Lauderdale Eagles. He has built a 3.21 ERA, .917 FLD%, and 11 SO in the 2026 season. De Los Santos will be bringing his arm to Joplin following the spring season.

“I’m excited to be able to sign Luis and spend another summer with him,” says Jailbirds Field Manager, Octavio Sanchez. “I had the privilege of coaching him last summer and he’ll be great on the mound for us but more importantly the type of teammate he is and the person is what we are most excited about.”

The Joplin Jailbirds will debut in Kirksville on May 29th, and their season home opener in Joplin on Tuesday, June 2nd.
