Joplin Jailbirds Sign MSSU Pitcher to the 2026 Roster

Gabe Perry has signed to play a half season in Joplin 

JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Joplin Jailbirds sign Liberty native, Gabe Perry, pitcher from Missouri Southern State University to the summer roster.

Perry debuted his first season with the Missouri Southern State Lions this spring. Perry finished the season with a 4.80 ERA and .232 BAVG. Perry will be staying in Joplin for the first half of this summer season. 

“We are excited to have Gabe here in Joplin. He is a big physical player who will play a major role in our rotation this summer!” shared Field Manager, Octavio Sanchez.

The Joplin Jailbirds will debut in Kirksville on May 29th, and their season home opener in Joplin on Tuesday, June 2nd.
