Joplin Jailbirds Sign Freshman Drew Vonder Haar
Missouri Southern State University First Baseman signs to play ball in Joplin
JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Joplin Jailbirds has signed outfielder/first baseman, Drew Vonder Haar, to his second season of MINK baseball.
Last summer, Vonder Haar played for the Jefferson Renegades with a .247 batting average and 11 RBI. Vonder Haar is currently redshirt freshman at Missouri Southern State University. He will be representing his hometown of Webb City on the Joplin Jailbirds.
“I’ve known Drew for a couple of years now and was very excited to hear that Coach Sanchez was able to sign him,” says Donovan Harns, Jailbirds GM. “Drew is a great addition to the Jailbirds roster.”
The Joplin Jailbirds will debut in Kirksville on May 29th, and their season home opener in Joplin on Tuesday, June 2nd.
