Jailbirds sign Labette Community College Pitcher to the Roster

Jack LaTurner will be playing for the Joplin Jailbirds

JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Joplin Jailbirds sign freshman, Jack LaTurner, a Galena, KS local to the roster for the summer.

LaTurner is competing in his first season with the Labette Jayhawks in the KJCCC, previously graduating as a Galena Bulldog. LaTurner brings a strong work ethic and a desire to grow to the Jailbirds roster this season as he continues his development on the field.

“We are excited to have Jack join the team this summer as he will be an impact arm in our pitching staff this summer who we will lean on heavily,” shared Jailbirds Field Manager, Octavio Sanchez. 

The Joplin Jailbirds will debut in Kirksville on May 29th, and their season home opener in Joplin on Tuesday, June 2nd.
