Elijah Charlot signs to play at the Joplin Jailbirds this summer

New Jersey Native to take the field in Joplin this summer


JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Joplin Jailbirds have signed senior outfielder, Elijah Charlot, to the 2026 roster. 

Charlot is currently competing in his senior season at Coppin State University. His junior year, Charlot hit .178 with eight runs and eight RBI. He also carries a .255 OBP. He will join us in Joplin at the conclusion of his senior season.

“Having Elijah join us from Coppin State is such an honor,” says Donovan Harns, Jailbirds GM. “We are excited to introduce him to the Joplin commmunity.”

The Joplin Jailbirds will debut in Kirksville on May 29th, and their season home opener in Joplin on Tuesday, June 2nd.
